NEW ComicVine API Key Requirement

Recent changes to the ComicVine (CV) API have resulted in limits on the number of API calls that can be done. As it stands now, users can only perform 200 API hits / 15 minutes PER API key.

What this means basically is that every user NEEDS to have their own CV API Key in order to be able to use Mylar properly. If you don't supply Mylar with a CV API Key, it will default back to the 'generic' one, and you will end up getting errors / blank series on refreshes, adds, etc since the one API key is shared amongst everyone who uses Mylar.

If this changes I'll update - but as it stands, getting your own CV API Key is almost a necessity at this point in time due to the watchlist monitoring / refreshing of series.

You can add the API Key in the Configuration GUI / Web Interface / API section :

Just make sure to do a Save and Restart Mylar afterwards to ensure that the new API key is being used.

(The 'Web Interface' tab needs to get better structured as an FYI)

The Mylar API is for 3rd party integration (ie. Prowlarr) or for any scripts that require it.

If you don't know what it is, odds are you don't need to use it so you can safely ignore it until such time as you start to use a program that requires access to the Mylar API.
