Hi, I’m returning to Mylar after many years away but I am having trouble getting it to work on my old Win10 machine. I have included my log and any help is greatly appreciated

Pillow is not installing.

Are you running cmd as administrator?

how do you install/get mylar3? git clone? or just downloaded the zip file?

Python 3.11 ?

you might want to try Python 3.10.10 just because I'm not sure 3.11 works fully with Mylar. I could be wrong about that tho.

Pillow isn't installing as I'm sure you noticed. 3.10.10 works for sure, so might just be a compatibility issue.

Hi, thank you so much for the reply. I did notice that it was not installing pill. What I did was download the mylar3 zip file from the repo and got Python from the website. I will try installing Python and then install the version you recommend

I always suggest installing git for windows, making sure it's in PATH to run it from anywhere.
then git clone https://github.com/mylar3/mylar3/tree/python3-dev

But for sure try it the way you're comfortable with and please report back and hopefully you're good to go, if not I'll see what I can do to help.

good luck,

Hey, sorry that I’ve been away for so long but other things came up. Anyway, I am trying to follow your directions (along with a few videos I found online). I have Git installed but I am having issues with the cloning process. Git keeps saying that the directory I am trying to clone into does not exist which, as you can see from the attached pictures, is not correct
