Same Comic Title and Year and Volume

Post by Rottingmeat »

I have both 'The Tenth (1997)' and 'C.H.I.X. (1998)' that show up in ComicVine as having two volumes (with the same number) released in the same year. It's having problems importing them. What is the recommended steps to manually create them? Thanks in advance!

Two options really:
- Add the series directly using the comicid via the search bar at the top of any Mylar page (you can search by name or even easier, put in 4050-XXXXXX where XXXXXX is the comicid of the series) will add the series into your watchlist. Then you can either a) post-process the files via the Manual Post-Processing option or B) ust move the files into the folder that is created and let Mylar pick them up (via a ReCheck Files).

- Put a cvinfo file in the directory of each series that's having problems. Within the cvinfo file (no extension), put the entire link to the series on ComicVine (ie. https://comicvine.gamespot.com/the-tenth/4050-22040/), save it and then try to import the series again (making sure to clear out the import queue prior to doing so, otherwise you'll get mulitples appearing).

You may also want to make sure you have a bit more specific of a Folder Format within Mylar so that Mylar can generate the folders properly and not have several series within one directory (which causes alot of problems). Something like $Series $VolumeN $(Year) as opposed to $Series $(Year) - this way if the volume is a numeric Mylar can set it to V2 or something which would mean that series that are rebooted in the same year would get individual directories.
