Large mylar.log.1

Post by F688 »

In /manageComics. When I select all comics to refresh I get an error message. I also noticed that Mylar generates a large log file with the size of 6689889KB.

Check your config.ini to see if you have a mass_publishers field that is more than one line.

Aside from that you don't offer any other information as to what OS you're running, version of mylar, etc.

Mylar uses max log file sizes of 10mb by default (unless it was changed) - so not sure what would be causing that off the top of my head.

My apologies
Windows 10
Python 3.7.9
latest version [4daa9405005a85ec1aa3716bef523faef3b3cacc]
# of Issues you're watching: 169910
When I select all and select refresh the message on bottom says "no files were selected". May be due to number of series. When I add a filer "Marvel" or "Image" for example it indicates "Success!"
I relocated the 6GB log files. Restarted Mylar with Debug. If and when the large log file(s) gets recreated. I'll provide more info.
Thanks

So from looking at the log file - it seems that things started to fall apart when it was reading the series.json file for the Strange Academy series you have.

Can you look at the series.json file in the directory for that series and verify what it has inside of it? It looks like you pasted the comicxology description - but what is actually inside the json is what it's trying to load up, and something in there is making it go *boom*.

Wow the series.json for Strange Academy was 14GB in size. No idea how that happened. I moved it. Re-refreshed and now it is normal sized. I did a search and found another one for Spider-Woman (2020) that one was 17GB. Moved it. Re-refreshed and now it is normal sized.
I don't recall running using the "Comixology2" and believe that I only used Mylar refresh to create series.json.
Thanks

So I'm assuming you're cutting & pasting directly from the CX website ?

Are you using a specific browser when you cut & paste, or are you doing something different than cutting & pasting from CX ?

(just trying to figure out exactly why it's happening so we can fix it)

I did run refresh a bunch of times and did shutdown and restart Mylar during bulk refresh a number of times as well.
