How to let mylar identify files for series which contain * in the title

Post by miracle152005 »

Hi,
i am having a series which contains "*" in the series title and I am currently unable to get them identified in mylar.
I tried the same name as the on mylar provided for the directory, replacing the "*" with "-".
I tried the variant where the characters are ignored.
I also tried setting an alternate file naming in the hopes that it would be used for the file check.

The series name is "Watari-kun's ****** Is About To Collapse".

Are there possible workaround for this.

Thanks.

Best regards

You need to make sure 2 things are done:
  • You need to set the Alternate Search Name field to: Watari-kuns ------ Is About To Collapse
  • Make sure your filenames have that exact spelling and nothing extra in them, such as issue title or the like (ie. Watari-kuns ------ Is About To Collapse #1 (2019).cbr).
Doing those 2 things, I have verified that it will match.

Keep in mind the odds of finding anything with this naming via search is very unlikely.
