Renaming with Accents?

Mylar Version: (HEAD detached at 68a8e77)
-- git build 68a8e77ad15a960b62106616c38e277ff0ec01cb.
Running in a Linux based Docker in the Cloud

I notice that "Sláine the Berserker (1987)" is title of comic (but inconsistently used across Comicvine DB!) but when it renames files it removes the 'a' completely presumably due to the accent character so my issues get renamed to "Sline the Berserker"

Thx

Yeah this is due to the 'safe filenaming' that Mylar tries to impose. While it works in some instance, there are users that want to retain the naming as per the series so it creates some problems.

I've been trying to work on a preview Renamer - which basically lets you decide if you want to keep the accents / special characters / etc in a filename and view the results immediately for a given series as opposed to just changing settings and running thru a renaming / post-processing. Not sure how far away it is from primetime, but I am looking at this (and was in py2, but that never made it in before the migration), and hopefully I can find a way to specify in the configuration if you want to retain the special characters or not (since we shouldn't assume stuff like this if we can avoid it)

Good to know that, as usual, you've got it covered....

I'm personally ambivalent... either keep accents or not but if removing them, I'd rather we replace them so "á" becomes "a" or "u" with umlaut becomes u (although I understand it should be "ue"
