DrunkenSlug UID

Post by jedimole »

Do I need to add a UID for drunkenslug? I noticed the history of all my downloads never pulled from DS. The test works but I put a UID of 8020 in there and I'm not sure why I ever did?!

Testing only tests the connection to the given indexer - the host/port & apikey combos. UID's are not tested as that's only used when grabbing RSS Feeds ( for some indexers ) and RSS Downloads.

As the UID is only used for RSS Feeds, the 8020 looks like that's the category as that's the common atypical category grouping (7030, 8020) for comics. Mylar checks only 7030 by default as that's the standardised category, but indexers that don't follow that particular grouping - you would need to identify it by putting it in.

However the UID field also allows for a secondary declaration of category.

So if you have a UID you would just plunk the UID in the field.

But if you have a UID & a category you would put it in there with a # separating them (ie. 67481#8020 - where 67481 is your UID,
8020 is the comics category of the given indexer).

If no UID is present, but you want to specify a category, then you would just start it with the # (ie. #8020).

Having multiple categories? It's separated by commas (ie. #8020,7030,7040 etc)
