Quality and File Size Restrictions not working

Post by dcliff9 »

I am getting a lot of "cover only" files even with "cover only" in the file name.
I tried changing file size limit to 15mb, deleting series, and re-searching and downloading.
Still ended up with the same <1mb files that are covers only.
Also tried the same with cbr only and still got cbz files.
Something I'm missing?

Set the minimum file-size to something like 10mb, as most covers don't go over that. I haven't tested it fully, but it might also be affected by the provider that you're using - as the only ones that have been tested (that I can recall at least), were nzb providers and 32p. Torznab might not be returning something Mylar recognizes depending on the site(s) you're tagged into.

Mylar won't distinguish if it has cover-only in the titles thus far, so the only way to do it is via the minimum file-size.

Did you restart Mylar after the change in the GUI (or did you change it in the config.ini) just to make sure everything was not queued prior to the setting change ?

I set the minimum file size limit to 15mb.
I set the quality to CBR only.
Search provider is Dognzb.
Made the changes via the web gui and restarted after making changes.
Deleted the entire series from mylar. Deleted all files and folders pertaining to the series from the drive.
Restarted mylar again for good measure.
Re-added the series.
Still downloading <1mb cbz files (cover only)

Put Mylar into debug mode (Logging tab, enable verbose logging) - then try doing a manual search for one of the issues that it's grabbing covers for. Stop mylar after the incorrect snatch so the logs don't balloon. Go to the logs directory (usually in the root of the mylar directory) on the machine where Mylar is, and grab the relevant log file and paste it in here (or pastebin, or w/e).

Unless something's changed ith dognzb - it should be able to get the filesize without any problems (unless it's from the RSS feed, then maybe something's changed on that). It's hard to know exactly what's going on without seeing the full debug logs.

What was the series you're trying to snatch ?

Pastebin is no longer valid - so I'll need to see the log again.

Computer problems for the past little while haven't helped ease my lack of time online, but I'm back online now at least - so if you can get the pastebin debug log showing the search of an issue where it's bypassing the size restrictions I can look more into it.

I'm having the same issue, loads of covers being grabbed even though in the settings I have a 10MB min size limit set - all of the covers being gabbed are under 1MB.

Any resolution to this?

Can't reproduce the problem. Get us some debug logs showing a search where it downloads a cover and we can look into it more. Also, you need to indicate the following:
-OS
-branch / commit and if you're running mylar3 or not
-providers being used
