Continuing series not downloading, 404: Client not found errors

Post by bigfire »

I had the problem with the typo in the search handler, but I started a new topic because this looks like a new issue. I got the new commit, and that error no longer appears. However, I still can't find/download new issues from continuing series.

I'm running on Windows Server 2016 64 bit, latest commit.

All of my connections (using QBittorrent to download, 32pages to search, even sabznd, though that's never used) work. I have tested and verified each external client that Mylar uses. I say that because I'm surprised by the 404 Client Error: Not Found.

I have restarted Mylar, and also restarted the machine.

I'm seeing the following errors in my log:

2019-03-04 22:03:40 ERROR Unable to send torrent to client. Assuming incomplete link - sending to Failed Handler and continuing search.

I'm sorry I'm not able to diagnose this better.

What version of qbittorrent? There were api changes on their side recently which we adapted to, and some of them were not backwards-compatible...

To piggyback on what barbequesauce mentioned - what do you have for your qbittorrent settings within Mylar ?

You do have to be using a fairly recent version of qbittorrent (4.10+) due to the api changes - if you're using anything less than that, the mylar send options won't work with that version so you'd have to upgrade your qbittorrent client or if you don't want to upgrade, you could use the blackhole method to send in lieu of doing that.

It's qbittorent 4.1.5. When I tested it with Mylar. When I do the test connection, it says it successfully validated the connection.

i think I gave you poor information. i believe i must have been confused with some manual downloads, because now I can't get anything initiated by Mylar to download.

Enable debug logging by either starting mylar with the -v switch, or go into the logs tab in the GUI and click on the Toggle Verbose Logging On option.

Pasting just the errors isn't enough for us to help troubleshoot the problem, and not answering the previous question in regards to what you have in your qbittorrent section within mylar isn't helping to speed things up as well.

Odds are you have your qbittorrent host wrong in mylar, but without seeing the logs/information it's just a guess.

My apologies about qbittorent. Here's a screenshot of my settings. I had just run a successful test connection.

I have enabled debug logging, but without an error flag, I don't know how to search for a smoking gun in the logs.

The image attachment I made doesn't seem to be showing up, so here are my settings in text:

User Torrents: checked
Minimum # of seeders: 0
qBittorent is selected
Host Port: http://localhost:9001
username: admin
password: <filled out>
Label: comics
folder: F:\NewComics
Add torrent action: default

You need to make sure that the Web User Interface (Remote Control) is enabled within the Qbittorrent configuration (Tools --> Options --> Web UI). Use the port username/password from that tab for the values required within Mylar.

Also try either http://127.0.0.1 or http://ipaddress as your Qbittorrent host name within Mylar. On some machines, the localhost won't resolve properly.

I've tried both ways of trying the IP address, made sure the ports were the same between qbittorent and Mylar, and made sure the username/password are in sync. Still nothing.

However, you're clearly right that something's going wrong between Mylar and Qbittorrent. While experimenting with a test comic series, I found it had downloaded all of the torrent files correctly and was keeping them in the Mylar\cache folder. Clicking on a torrent there loaded it right up in qbittorrent which then happily downloaded it.

The problem is I can't figure out why it's not passing it correctly to qbittorent. If I check the connection between the two in Mylar, it says it's authenticated correctly (it's said that from the beginning). I can't find anything in the log that indicates when or how it failed to pass the file.

Perplexed!
