Notification after Manual Post Process

Post by Galacticat »

Should notifications fire after running a Manual Post Process scan? Notifications don't seem to work when I run a manual post process scan.

Also, every now and then the post process scan can't find a comic in the Downloads directory. I manually move it to it's appropriate folder and then manually "Re-Check Files", and then "Rename Files". Should the notifications fire indicating that this comic went from "Wanted" to "Downloaded"?

Notifications will only fire on a manual post-process if the item in question was snatched by Mylar via torrents AND you have the option enabled in the configuration (Configuration / Advanced Settings /Manual Post-Processing - Notify on Completed Torrents). If you don't have that option available, then you need to ensure that torrents are enabled as a download option (both as a provider and download client), and that you restart Mylar after this change. This is due to the fact that the option to notify will only become available when torrents are enabled (it should detect and change it immediately so the option is available, but as of this moment it does not do it, thus the restart is required for the option to show).

Notifications will only fire on a 'snatch' and a successful 'post-process'. Manually rechecking files and or renaming will not invoke the notification system as it would fire off non-stop for some individuals (actually most) as files are rescanned in and/or renamed.

There will be a general notification system incorporated at some point (soon hopefully), whereby notifications will fire off on a post-processing run being successful regardless of how it was initiated. Also custom notifications will be available too (whereby you can customize the actual message being sent instead of it being a generic one as it is atm).
