Mylar with jackett torznab

Post by lugolounge »

I have Mylar Version: master
-- git build 345f139fb1abdbb529b4dcc89f3b6fdfc49b0c09.
Python Version : 2.7.10
Mac OS 10.11

Jackett Version 0.8.225.0

I have Torznab setup on mylar to point to jackett on the same machine
with 8020 as the category since that is what it is on the trackers i have in jacket
I test the search within jacket and i get results
but mylar isn't get any
I cant tell if it is even talking to jackett
is there anything i am missing?
Thanks

I'd have to see the debug logs of a search to see what's going on exactly.

Mylar only supports one torznab atm - so you'd have to give the exact url to the given provider within your torznzab client as the host (ie. http://localhost:9117/torznab/providername)

OH now I see.
Makes perfect sense. Now I see Mylar searching in Jacket.
Thanks so much.

Im having trouble with this, cannot get mylar to use my jackett install, the "Copy Torznab feed" button from jackett gives me the below, and it doesnt seem to work within mylar.

http://localhost:9117/api/v2.0/indexers ... s/torznab/

in mylar the log just shows

Unable to retrieve search results from Torznab [Status Code returned: 500]

Any advice appreciated!!!

Well tested here - working fine against wwt with torznab and using the exact same url as you (just not localhost for ip, but same url basically).

Make sure that you have the category set right, and that the apikey is correct as well (no space at the beginning / end kinda thing). Aside from that, you might have hit it when they were down which is something of a normal occurance for them as of late I believe.

You can try to enable debug logs and try the search again and see if it gives any more details.

what do you put in category? How do you specify multiple categories? could you share your torznab settings?

The category is dependant on the provider - normally in jackett, you can list the categories for a given site. It will give you the category that you need to enter. For Mylar usage, it's normally just 8020 (for comics)
