Mylar stopped finding comics

[llyenn]

Hi all, running into an issue that I can't seem to figure out. Recently, (last update maybe?) Mylar stopped downloading most comics, and I can't figure out why. It shows that it is hitting the indexer, and then it logically parses it, and then says, nope, thats not it. I ran a manual search on an example and the excerpt from the log is below. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

It's because of the way that nzbgeek is filtering out the headers. They're leaving in the 'crap' which is causing confusion for the parsing that mylar does.

It's trying to parse this:

when it should be like this:

This has been an ongoing problem with some indexers as either they're not updating the regex's to account for these types, or it's intentional in which case Mylar can't decipher the actual title of the series. This is on my to-do to try and add in some better logic for the search comparison in order to account for this type of stuff, but it's still a bit off from getting pushed out for testing.

Hmm, that is disconcerting. When doing manual searches on the indexer, 0-day blah blah is the file name, and that is that they have been historically as well. Is there anything I can try?

The '0-day...', etc is actually the header of the file - when you look at your indexer they index the headers of the usenet groups, not the actual filenames within. It's more an issue with the way posters are posting these things to Usenet than anything else - since it's a complete RAW header, it's really difficult to parse out properly and account for every iteration of what might be in the text prior to the actual naming of the file. The Experimental Search option does this fine, but only because of the way that the indexer indexes, it leaves the complete header intact - whereas with nzbgeek (I'm just guessing), it strips out characters it doesn't think it needs. As an example, the Experimental option has

and due to the inclusion of the quotation marks, mylar can separate out the crap properly. According to the log you posted, nzb geek has it as

, which mylar can't parse out properly as it assumes it's all one long name (what's to say there isn't a series that starts with 2015.9.9 somewhere in the world?).

Searching for other issues other than that one particular one, would probably give the desired results - but again, it's dependent on how the poster has posted things and how nzbgeek displays the headers in the resulting seach response.

I need to try and do some tinkering with the parsing in order to try to accommodate these types of things, but it's a very tedious process and it's not a 100% guarantee it's going to fix things (since if it works for one post, if someone else posts it a bit differently it might not work properly).

Thanks for the reply. I posted on their forums too and basically got told I was SOL. Any recommendations on any indexers that might be slightly more functional with Mylar (am I allowed to ask that? If not, apologies)
