Problems updating

Post by oldirtdog »

I see we need to get Mylar up to date to fix some security issues... I tried to run the update using the built in updater, but it doesn't work... it's been a while since I've tinkered with Mylar, so you'll have to excuse my ignorance... what do I need to do to get this thing up to date?

If you haven't updated since the security fix, which was ... well along time ago - your best bet is to backup your config.ini, mylar.db and entire cache folder, wipe out the directory - reinstall directly from github (either via git clone or via source, git clone preferably if you wish to use the auto-update function more reliably). Once it's installed, move back your ini, db and cache folder as it were and you should be good to go and up-to-date.
